Kimberly and Matthew Guyton dreamed of owning a frozen yogurt shop. They just weren’t sure how to turn their dream into reality. Then they found out about SBA Community Advantage loans. CDC Small Business Finance did the rest, providing $250,000 in low-rate financing which the Guytons used to buy a NuYo Frozen Yogurt franchise in the Roseville suburb of Sacramento.
NuYo stands for “nutritious yogurt,” a healthier alternative to ice cream. In addition to yogurt, the store also sells frozen yogurt pies, shaved ice and even treats for customers’ dogs. The Guytons are now lovin’ life as small business owners, hoping that with more success under their belts – and healthy sales of tasty products – there’ll be another yogurt shop to buy in their future via CDC.
