Small business optimism seems to be improving a bit. So says the National Federation of Independent Business.
NFIB’s Small Business Optimism Index this month shows upticks in the number of small businesses expressing:
- Plans to make capital outlays
- Expectation of higher sales
- Agreement that now is a good time to expand
- Expectation that the economy will improve
“While there have been no dramatic leaps forward in the economy, we’re encouraged by the modest signs that small businesses are stoking the fires of expansion and job creation and seeking financing, including SBA loans,” said Kurt Chilcott, president and CEO of CDC Small Business Finance.
