About CDC Small Business Finance: a leading provider of small business loans, advocate for all entrepreneurs

Over the last 40 years, CDC Small Business Finance has evolved into a leading U.S. small business lender and advocate for all entrepreneurs especially women, minorities, military veterans and other underserved groups.

Our dedication to this cause is rooted in the enduring philosophy of our late founder Arthur H. Goodman, who was passionate about helping disadvantaged communities and making a difference. As a non-profit organization, we not only issue affordable business loans, we’ve adopted a do-good approach in how we do business, from providing qualified businesses no-cost business coaching to helping university students defray their tuition costs through our scholarship fund.

Our Impact: The Numbers

Over the last four decades, CDC has provided more than $18.4 billion in total project financing to small business owners throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. That funding helped more than 11,000 businesses create 200,000-plus jobs, which play a central role in economic development.

Our Products: Business Loan Options

We pride ourselves in providing business loan options to entrepreneurs in virtually all stages, from startups looking to launch to more established companies eyeing the purchase of an office building.

We also offer a wide range of community-loan programs focused on helping women, minority and veteran-owned businesses – groups that have historically faced the greatest obstacles to securing capital. Given their lower credit-score requirements, these options may be a great fit if you’ve been turned down by a traditional bank lender for a small business loan.

Our Mission & Core Values

Since the outset, CDC Small Business Finance’s mission has been to champion the growth and revitalization of diverse small businesses in the communities in which we serve. We are guided by our long-standing core values of integrity, commitment, teamwork and making a difference.

Our Company Culture

Our core values permeate our office culture. We ensure our employees feel intellectually stimulated and valued by providing in-house continuing education courses, twice-a-week yoga classes, and company-wide volunteer outings, among other perks.

“It’s not what you do, it’s why you do it and the manner in which you do it,” said CDC’s president and chief executive Kurt Chilcott. “Our core values are a very important part of our evolution and our future.”
