Tony Barengo has 20 years of experience in commercial lending and 18 years at CDC Small Business Finance in the 504 program.
Tony began his career with Bank of Albuquerque, and then transitioned to San Diego where he worked as a loan officer for US Bank. He joined CDC Small Business Finance in 2005 as a credit analyst, working his way up to leading the company’s credit department only a few years later.
Currently, Tony serves as the Head of Commercial Real Estate and oversees all aspects of 504 lending at CDC Small Business Finance, and the Momentus Capital family of organizations. He is responsible for oversight of sales, credit approval, procedures and policies, new product development, development of the company’s expansion objectives, and is a member of the Momentus Capital leadership team. Tony has significant knowledge in SBA SOP, eligibility, credit guidelines, and funding requirements. He also develops and manages Momentus Capital’s non-SBA commercial real estate loan programs.
